AC/DC: Back in Black

I had a bit of a heavy rock moment in 2011 and bought this, along with Highway to Hell. I found Back in Black, the slightly later album, much more addictive listening. It forced me out of the doldrums and incidentally functions very well as housework music. The opening of Hell’s Bells is one of my favourite introductions: the gradual layering-up of sound from the bells, to the guitar riffs, to the drums… fantastic. Admittedly it’s true what the critics say: AC/DC sound the same all the time but hey, if it ain’t broke, why fix it?
