Hasekura Tsunenaga and other members of his entourage, including the Franciscan friar and translator Luis Sotelo, are shown in the frescoes of the Salone dei Corazzieri in the Palazzo Quirinale, Rome, painted 1616-17 by a team of artists including Agostino Tassi, Giovanni Lanfranco and Carlo Saraceni.
